We are looking forward to Autumn 2026 where we will be jumping through planning and other hoops to complete projects and build our cricket Club and Academy. In 2027, our men Caribbean XI’s will be participating in midweek league and friendly games. We will also participate in the annual Cambridge Caribbean Cup against Luton Caribbean Cricket Club. To give our club more visibility, we will be organising our first Cambridge Caribbean Cricket Festival in summer 2027.
Next year we aim to create four junior teams, softball girls U10, U17 and boys U10, U17. We will also invite women to join with the aim to play friendly fixtures.
Our captain for the Caribbean Men Xi’s is Maxi Pipe. Thank you for a great start to our cricket journey Maxi Pipe, you are very much appreciated. Our next task will be to select the Vice Captain. Please message me if you would like to take on that responsibility. We wish you every success.
Outdoor nets and fielding practice is important throughout the season. We ask all players to make use of our net facilities, so that we make the most of them – but no spikes in the nets or on the artificial strip please! We have a year-round policy with cricket practice as the ambition is to produce excellence in our players. The autumn cricket nets for adult and junior players will start on Sunday 20 September at 2-4 pm. This follows a well-attended summer camp for the junior outdoor nets and cricket practice sessions. I want to take this opportunity to thank our Head coach and honorary patron Mr John Maynard, who is very much appreciated.
The Club Executive continues to meet regularly. We remain grateful for some seeding funds that was donated to our club early this year. We need to up our game in organising social and fundraising activities this season. We encourage all members to please join in! If you have a fundraising idea, we welcome suggestions, please let us know.
Our club depends on its volunteers, so please where you see an opportunity, do get involved. Thank you to the players who volunteered this season, Mr Ricardo James and Miss Ali-Rose Phillips. We will always welcome people to coach, score, do the teas, fundraise and assist with cricket games, We particularly need volunteers to help where possible. The Club can support training for scoring and coaching. All help will be very much appreciated! Here’s hoping for a successful winter in the nets to prepare for a successful summer of cricket 2027!

Families need to pay the corresponding fee for each family member attending the session.
